POM ESD Sheet Properties:
POM ESD Sheet BN-105 is designed for use in the semiconductor industry with surface resistivity value 10E8-10E9 Ohms/sq. It is an extruded, chemical resistance and abrasion resistance, offering reliability and value for applications that require dissipation of static charges.
Antistatic performance
● Its surface resistivity is generally between 10⁶ – 10⁹Ω/sq, which can reduce the damage caused by electrostatic discharge to equipment and products, such as preventing static electricity from breaking down electronic components in electronic component manufacturing workshops.
Good mechanical properties
● POM ESD has relatively high strength, high rigidity, and hardness, and can withstand certain pressure and impact. For example, when used to make gears and other parts in mechanical manufacturing, it can maintain a stable shape under complex force conditions.
● POM ESD also has good toughness and is not easy to break even under large external forces. It has excellent wear resistance and can be used for a long time in environments with frequent friction, such as making parts for conveying equipment.
Chemical stability
● It has excellent chemical resistance and good tolerance to a variety of organic solvents, acids, alkalis, and other chemical substances. In some chemical industrial environments or occasions where contact with chemical reagents is required, it can maintain its own stable performance.
POM ESD Sheet Applications:
● Manufacturing fixtures: Fixtures used in silicon wafer processing to prevent static electricity from damaging the wafer.
● Electronic components: Manufacturing sensitive electronic components such as hard disk drives and printed circuit boards to protect components from static electricity.
● Housings and components: Can be used to produce plastic parts for electronic devices such as computer housings, keyboards, mice, and mobile phone housings to eliminate static electricity accumulation and ensure the normal operation of the equipment; can also be used to manufacture electrical non-conductive parts, sockets, switches, connectors, etc.
The POM ESD sheet is widely used in machining on automatic lathes, especially for the manufacture of precision parts and it also can replace most non-ferrous metals, automobiles, machine tools, instrument internals, bearings, fasteners, gears, springs, pipes, conveyor belt accessories, pump casings, drainers, faucets, etc.
