Difference between conductive masterbatch and antistatic masterbatch

Difference in performance

Technically,Conductive masterbatch is concentrate which is designed made of conductive compound with surface resisitivity 10E3~10E6 Ohms/sq,antistatic masterbatch is another concentrate which  is designed made of antistatic compound with surface resisitivity 10E6~10E Ohms/sq.Normally conductive masterbatch consis of carbon,such like graphene,CNT,carbon fiber,garbon black,graphite or other metal powder,most of them are black.Antistatic masterbatch consis of permanent copolymer which is suitable for colourful formulation,no sloughing,but humidity has more or less impact of on anti-static behavior.

 

 

The advantage of conductive masterbatch is that it has low resistivity and good conductivity, and can be widely used in the electronics industry and high-tech industries. In addition,  conductive masterbatch is less expensive and easier to process.But ,there is a risk of sloughing on the surface of end product.

 

 

The advantage of antistatic masterbatch is designed for antistatic compound which can prevent static interference and damage to electronic components, which is crucial to the electronics industry.  However, the disadvantage of this material is that it has poor electrical conductivity, can only prevent static electricity-related problems, and is not suitable for manufacturing electronic devices.Besides,this material are that its cost is relatively high and it is easily affected by moisture, resulting in a decrease in electrical conductivity.
